Jorge Rubinos, MD, comes to Access Health Care with over 20 years of experience as a physician and surgeon in Cuba. Dr. Rubinos immigrated to the United States in 2011 where he practiced as a physician and surgeon at Baptist Hospital in Miami and Baptist Hospital Homestead. Dr. Rubinos is licensed as a general practitioner in the area of critical need.
Dr. Rubinos received his medical degree from the University of Medical Science Carlos J. Finlay in Camaguey, Cuba. Before joining Access, he completed a rotating internship program at Auxilio Mutuo Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This is the most prestigious internship program in Puerto Rico with over 60-year history in academic graduate medical education. The program offered a rigorous clinical training, with strong emphasis in scholarly and research activities.
Dr. Rubinos is certified as an ACLS provider, a PALS provider. He completed his USMLE examination. The United States Medical Licensing Examination is a three-step examination for medical licensure in the United States and is sponsored by the Federation of State Medical Boards and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Rubinos is also ECFMG certified. Through its program of certification, the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates assesses the readiness of international medical graduates to enter residency or fellowship programs in the United States that are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
Dr. Rubinos is married and he and his wife have two children. He loves to read, go to the movies, go to the gym, and participate in a wide range of outdoor activities.
