Bhupatiraju R. Raju, MD, has been practicing medicine in Hernando County since 1974. He is considered to be one of the most respected and one of the most decorated physicians in the area. Dr. Raju has served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Brooksville Regional Hospital as well as its past Chief of Staff and President of the Hernando Medical Society, American Heart Association of Hernando County. He continues to volunteer at free clinics. Dr. Raju completed a fellowship in cardiology at the very busy and well known Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He completed a residency in internal medicine and an internship at Kingsbrook Jewish Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Raju received his medical degree from King George Hospital, Calcutta National Medical Institute and continued post-graduate study at GSVM Medical College in Kanpur, India.
Dr. Raju is married with four children and continues to live in Brooksville.
